Support Our Work!
Please help us preserve Minnesota’s canoe country history and culture by making a donation online today!
Your Donation supports critical work, including:
a) The ongoing acquisition, curation, and display of our canoe collection. We have significant canoes that represent the finest examples of the history of the canoe.
b) Programming, such as our collaborative canoe building volunteer workshops, where people can take part in hands-on building of birchbark and other canoes. This is a unique and fine offering supported by the museum.
c) Interpretive talks, tours, and workshops about specific canoe makes, models, companies, and the people who built and used them. Historic interpretation provides significant knowledge on subjects central to canoe history and culture.
d) Education for the protection of the surrounding Boreal Forest life, land, water, and air quality in the Heart of the Continent - the Minnesota headwaters of the Hudson Bay, Mississippi River, and Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River watersheds. This amazing place requires strong protection and is a Canoe Museum priority.
