Your Donation supports critical work, including:

a) The ongoing acquisition and curation of our canoe collection. We have some fantastic canoes, that are some of the finest examples of the history of the canoe, and the ongoing heritage and use of these fantastic craft.

b) Programming, such as our canoe building volunteer workshops, where people can take part in building birchbark and other canoes. This is a unique and fine offering by the museum.

c) Occasional talks and workshops about specific canoe makes, models, companies, and more. These talks provide a significant amount of knowledge on a range of subjects central to the history and ongoing use of the canoe.

d) The MCM also believes that the surrounding Northwoods Landscape of N. Minnesota, Ontario, and beyond is central to the story. The ongoing protection of this amazing place is critical to the story.
