What We Do
Mission - “To preserve and promote the art, culture, and history of canoeing and canoe country.”
The Museum has a standing collection of heritage canoes located at the Ely Folk School in Ely, MN. Our volunteers carry out interpretive talks, canoe building seminars, and even community canoe builds. We have also sponsored regional meetings on historic canoes.
We are seeking a permanent museum site. More on that soon!
